The little details.

Every parcel pulls the beam with its weight × distance. Move the brass counterweight to oppose that torque. A full green steadiness bar dispatches the parcel and adds three seconds. Later consignments add a small, visible wind torque. Arrow keys also move the counterweight.

P/Escape pauses. M changes sound. Inactive tabs and changed screen widths pause play. Sound, haptics and reduced motion are in the pause settings.
